Privacy

Protein Notes is a static website. It is built to be private by default, and this page describes exactly what that means.

What we collect

Nothing, by design. The site sets no tracking cookies, runs no analytics or advertising scripts, and has no accounts, comments or forms that submit data. Pages are plain files served to your browser, with no third-party embeds calling home.

Standard server logs

The site is hosted on a third-party platform which, like most web hosts, may keep short-lived technical logs (for example IP address and browser type) to serve pages and protect against abuse. We do not use those logs to identify or profile individual readers.

When you email us

If you email one of our addresses — for example hello@proteinnotes.com or editorial@proteinnotes.com — we receive your message and email address so we can reply. We use it only to respond and to act on corrections, and we do not add you to any list.

Links out

Articles link to external sources such as government agencies, regulators and research publishers. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which we don’t control.

If this changes

If we ever add something that does collect data — a newsletter signup or privacy-respecting analytics, for instance — this page will be updated to say so before it goes live, and any such feature will be clearly labelled. Questions: hello@proteinnotes.com.
